Olfactory Archive is designed differently from other perfume discovery channels. It is a marketplace: each brand creates a profile, lists fragrances, and ships sales. Olfactory Archive is the infrastructure that gives indie perfume houses more visibility, and the opportunity to be seen by new collectors.

What is an olfactory portrait?
Most shops just show you the bottle. Olfactory Archive also shows you the scent. Every fragrance is rendered as an olfactory portrait: a quiet field of colour painted from its composition, so you can visualize the scent before smelling a single note.
The colours represent scent families. Fresh, airy notes (citrus, marine, green) rise toward the top in lighter tones; deep, lasting notes (wood, amber, oud, leather) settle into the base in darker ones. What you see, in balance and depth, is what you will smell.
