Cookie Policy
Effective July 4, 2026
This policy explains the small number of cookies and similar technologies Olfactory Archive uses, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. We use them, and similar browser storage, to keep the Archive working and to understand how it is used.
How we use them
- Essential: to keep you signed in and to keep your selections during a session. The Archive cannot function without these.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and understand how the site is used. It sets its own cookies (such as
_ga) and collects usage and device information in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you personally. You can learn how Google handles this data at policies.google.com and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Archive from working, such as staying signed in.
